Toyota Hiace Jumbo

A sweet little combo for this Hiace Jumbo. This fit out required working into Luke and his partners week day worker - weekend wanderer lifestyle.

The brief for this custom job included the need for secure and separate storage for a large chainsaw along with a surface large enough to sleep on. We gladly obliged.

First off we made a full length false floor from front to back. This allowed for a nice flat surface to mount everything off along with creating a solid underfoot feel in the front half. 

The drawer setup was based off our 'Ready to Go' 2 drawer set. We customised and removed some width from the now centre drawer and added a new taller carcass and drawer to house Lukes chainsaw to the side. This created a space above the two other drawers which was a perfect fit for a folding table. The table can simply be pulled out a smidge for quick use or pulled right out and set up for everyone to gather around.

With drawers and storage more or less sorted we turned to the 'Topper' which was now large enough to be used as a sleeping surface. We integrated some 'pop-up' panels for access to the dead space around the whole setup to maximise the storage abilities of the van - great for blankets, towels and nik-naks.

We hope to see this big old girl back soon for Phase 2 which will include outfitting the front half with more storage and a kitchenette.
